Could not comment on a Jag reliability ....... but in 16,000 miles, just £56 of repair parts, 3 minor oil services and 1 major service due for the Lexus.
Lexus Guildford quoted me £700 just for the parts. Cambelt, waterpump, idlers etc etc etc.
I had a quote form Lexus Dallas,$541 + $129 for P&P. Thats about half price in GBP, PLUS I'm getting 10 oil filters instead of just 1.
Might have to pay import tax (VAT rate) but that's no big deal.
Just like Alpine ownership, I'm not buying the parts till it's passed it's MOT..... later today.

I take it you don't know much about Jags then? They actually have very good reliability since around 1998, and since Ford took over their reliability is every bit as good as a Lexus!

I realise that Ford don't have the greatest reliability, but they have made things really good at Jag

Yes, the modern Jags do very well in reliabilty surveys, coming ahead of all the German marques, which have a (misplaced it seems) perception of being very good for build and reliabilty.

Even pre 98 Ford era Jags are much improved over the older 'square' ones. :D

Today my 1995 LS400 passed it's MOT with not advisories. Not bad for an 11 year old car which only gets attention in the way of oil changes every 3 months.
