Wheel stud! Help!

Hey All!

I'm new here... So please feel free to tell me off if this is in the wrong section!

I've recently acquired a GTA which has been in my family quite some years now.. (My dad got the a610, and this has been a bit abandoned) and I am starting to spruce her up a bit... Starting with wheels...

Now, I've read quite a bit and already knew the offset on these make them really tricky to get wheels for, with a lot of stories about buying 2 sets of wheels!! I have however opted for split wheels... So I can then build them to suit. It wasn't until 'test' fitting the wheels that I even knew the alpine has a 'locating' stud?! (Fixed stud, lug nut, I'm not even sure of the correct name) which is proving a tad tricking when trying to make 5x112 wheels fit 4x100!!

Does anybody know if these come out and if so how??

It will just unscrew .Either a stud extractor or a couple of nuts locked together .Its a fine thread m12

Ahhh thanks!! I was hoping that was the case but also worried it was fixed. They aren't reverse thread I take it?

No, std rh thread but the stud male is finer than the female in the hubs .

Are you going to use adapters from 5 x 112 to 4 x 100?

And yes adapters... I was going to have the wheels plugged and redrilled but that would mean I full refurb!

Do the adapters not take the offset out of kilter or has that been factored in?

That's been factored in... The wheels as a standard are 6j and 6.5j and then the dishes obviously make them wider... I'm running the 6.5j on the because it's a more forgiving offset and I can add 4" dish and keeping the 6 on the front but with a 1.5" dish as in the picture!

Don't panic... I've spent that much on them, I've made sure everything fits... Just hit a hurdle with the fixed stud! I love locating studs too... I think they are a real good idea but it can't stay with adapters unfortunately!
