Here's a question, maybe one for Fieldmouse - where has he got to by the way, have we pi$$ed him off or something?

Why is the spoiler not painted in a few of these pics at the factory? Is it that they installed the engine after painting with the spoiler removed maybe to avoid potential damage?

Ahhh Monsiour Van Man, if you look closely, I believe that is a cover as the air vent is not visible, it is probably there to protect that beautiful paint from dirty hands whilst they put the finishing touches to the engine bay.

Of course, I may be wrong.

Edit: The Saint beat me to it....

You could be right! Strange looking cover though, almost looks like raw fibre glass.

Sorry to hear Andy's not well, hope he gets better soon. He's got your 610 to paint!

Not sure whether this pic has been on before. Patrick Head (Director of Williams F1 in the 90's along with Frank WIliams) had at least 2 A610's, the first being the very first A610 in the UK (which I think is now Hedley's car?) and he also had a blue A610 later on.

Translated to English, I particularly like the line:

"I breathe Super
When I pull the choke on my dream"

Yep sounds like it's running a bit rich LOL

Still, sounds better than "I breathe Shell Nitro+"
I'm just here for the gasoline.

interesting tweet from championship winning Alpine driver Oliver James Webb

Can't believe found these in a box in the basement and one of them was an old Alpine I must have been given as a kid!
