Gta turbo - turbo sorted - now an ecu problem!!

I seem to recall it didn't boost quite right but to be honest I didn't drive it much as it was a bit of a doer upper and I sold it soon after getting it back on the road.

Don't think Bob who you bought it from did much with it either.

Very small world! Did it have a cold start issue too? These are the only two real issues with it. That plus the passenger door having a repair to the catch.

When I bought it, it hadn't been driven for years said the bloke. Yet I drove it 160 miles home and it didn't miss a beat.

I bought it in about 2011 from a guy down south, it had been off the road for about 5 or 6 years.

I liked it because it was still pretty much original and not messed about with.

Yes mate that should be fine, any small bore one that comes of the inlet manifold except the one that goes to the dump valve(please anyone correct me if I'm wrong, I have not installed one in at least a month haha) There is an easy place to tee of, If you locate the vacuum pipe to map sensor near the right hand side suspension turret. I found this the easiest place as the pipe can go straight through the bulkhead where the loom goes. I leave mine in one of the centre console pockets, just used for fault diagnosis. It's easier to fit a simple mechanical one than an electrical. Will take you about twenty minutes. Most come with a pipe and a tee. Although the tee mine came with was crap so you will need a 5mm or 6mm tee and about 1.5m of hose again it normally comes with the kit.
If you don't get of eBay ring demon tweeks or merlin motorsport. They have everything and the sales staff know their stuff.

No sorry, I really like them! Did the bloke have that blue one off you too? As I remember him saying he had a blue one and the azev wheels came off of it as he swapped them over

So I have the turbo sorted, it was the accurator all along!

Now I have another issue.. The ecu light is flickering when the car is running and it occasionally cuts the car out.

The sensational felt when this happens is that it is like it is running out of fuel. Once cut out if left for a few minutes the car will start up again and drive on as normal. This only occurs every 50 or so miles and there is no consistency to when it occurs, ie under heavy load, high rev etc etc.

The fuel pump is very load while car is running. Could it be packing up and not feeding the car enough fuel and thus cutting out? I have attached a video to this post so the noise can be heard.

I love this car but an really losing patience with it. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Check your front fuel pump is running all the time?

How do I do that?

You can turn the key to ignition and either listen or touch pump.
It's below the front of the car in the centre, approx in alignment with foot wells.
It may be under a plastic cover ( but some have had that removed) right next to it is a front filter which will be worth replacing too.
This is the primer pump to the swirl pot, located near gearbox.
The main fuel pump can be accessed behind a cover in the rear rhs wheel arch, with next to the large fuel filter.

That's working hard or on the way out .
Change both filters and check all fuel lines underneath .Car stood for a while ? Ran it low on fuel ? Could have picked up some shite out the bottom of the tank .Also check swirl pot ,small tank in wheelarch feeding rear pump .

Check the noise suppressor on the fuel pump connections. I suspect you'll find it cooking gently and your fuel pump relay next to the ecu will be very hot.

Where is this and what am I looking to check? When the problem occurs you can smell what smells like very hot electrics so it sounds as if you could be right
