Juzz, I was thinking along the same lines as you, a hand held, easily accesible portable unit, like this,

I guess you have something similair.
It is amazing how quickly a fire extinguisher will empty itself, so I'm not sure if 2.4 litres is better (or needed) than this 1.7 litre unit.

What do you have, a picture too maybe??

Just been out to my car and checked the extinguisher. It's a small 600g Firemaster. Takes 6 secs to discharge. I hope I never have to use it, as looking at that Clio I don't think it would be much use! :shock:

In that fire they showed that a number of large extinguishers weren't up to the job :!:
Alpine A110, Renault Safrane 2.5dt, Hudson Kindred Spirit (Renault powered), transAlp (Honda) and Ducati Multistrada
