Juzz, I was thinking along the same lines as you, a hand held, easily accesible portable unit, like this,

I guess you have something similair.
It is amazing how quickly a fire extinguisher will empty itself, so I'm not sure if 2.4 litres is better (or needed) than this 1.7 litre unit.

Yes, mine's only a small portable one. No picture though, as I'm in work and shouldn't be on here!

Just been out to my car and checked the extinguisher. It's a small 600g Firemaster. Takes 6 secs to discharge. I hope I never have to use it, as looking at that Clio I don't think it would be much use!
