web page to help

Postby macdwell » Thu Mar 09, 2006 9:07 pm

This web page seems quit good if you, like me, weren't not sure where to start looking for a 4 wear alignment. There is a page that you can enter you postcode & it will tell you the distance to various companies in the area that have the 4 wheel alignment kit.

http://www.alignmycar.co.uk/

hope this helps, Paul

took the car for a check and this is the before and after results(was 3/3/06)

it needed shimmed at the rear wishbones to sort it out
put some cheapo kuhmo tyres(z rated 245/45/16's £68 each fitted and balanced) on just now till i see how the wear goes :)
car is more stable at high speed than it was before :D

The only downside of the increased toe in as you can see on the above chart, is it has nearly doubled the rear camber angle.

As mentioned before, with toe out you can get inner wear, but with toe in with increased camber you can get wear too...

Why Alpine couldnt have designed the chassis with shimmed top wishbones is beyond me.. :?

The Kumhos are a much harder compound of tyre though, so it may last you longer.. :)
