ABS

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the ABS system on a GTA??

I have now got all the bits ready to go on but there are a few wires that have been cut and need a home!
The wires in question apparently go to a block connector inside the car,one end of the wiring goes to the block in the OS headlamp area and two wires go to the acceleration sensor but there are 4 more that have been cut! I take it two of these must go to the dash light???

I have a copy of the GTA ABS supplement, but its fault finding section is wrong, so I wouldn't hold out much hope for the wiring diagrams (yes there are two) no wires in some of the connectors when you go through the fault finding so it must be wrong..There are also no wiring colours or numbers, only pin outs.
If you download the A610 manual from this site it has the wiring diagram in the main manual-also wrong, but the one in the RHD supplement is right.
I believe this one is the same concept as the GTA ( as a minimum the protection relay, computer, modulator and the yaw switch are common), but the GTA turns the ABS with the ignition relay, the A610 on a ignition pulse sensing relay (yes the ABS goes off with the engine on an A610). This is quite a small difference really as it only affects the wiring before the protection relay.
You should be able to work out what is happening from that as the A610 manual also gives maps of all the connectors- so you can work out what goes where. That should see you though!

The yaw switch goes between pin1 and 13 of the main computer connector.
The dash light between pin 15 and plus 12 volts (I guess already on the instrument panel).

The manual for the GTA makes it look like there is a single connector to the car wiring- but if your car is Pre ABS age, you may have to wire all that manually.

I have managed to get some wiring diagrams from Clee which sound right by what you are saying!?
Could you tell me a little more about the YAW switch,i don't have a clue what that is!!
From the parts that i have got from the ABS i am pretty sure that the harness that goes back into the car,is already fitted,so i am hoping that i won't need to worry about that end.
If that is the case then the conversion looks very straight forward,but i will find out more at the weekend!

Yes just had a quick look tonight and the loom from the front to the dash/brake s/w and acceleration sensor is all there ready to go!
That will save me a lot of time so hopefully it will be all done by the end of the weekend?

Any ideas on how to bleed the system?
Not sure if you can just use the conventional method using the pedal or wether the pump has to be running???
