Alright Martin!

How's things? Everything's good here. Miss the old Alpine crowd and get together's though, as well as my old car.

It's up for sale again? They got bored quick didn't they! I owned it for over 13 years. Who owns it now, where is it, do they frequent the forum? I'd be interested to know how it's doing.

Hi Justin, Good to hear from you. :up Also glad to hear things are going well over there, but have you decided to stay permanently, or are you planing on coming back to the UK some time in the near future ?

Hi John,

I've done two years and I signed up for three so at the moment I've got another year left but it's been left open ended so I don't know for certain yet, I've got a feeling they might ask me to stay longer. But I come back to the UK at least a couple of times a year to visit family and friends.

Funnily enough, one of my American colleagues in work yesterday was asking me if I'd ever been to Jersey and what it was like. He didn't even know where it was! He's from New Jersey and is going to Europe on business in a couple of months. It sounded like he was thinking of planning a visit while he's over there.

Yes Justin ..... Its amazing, whenever I am that side of the pond, most American's have never heard of Jersey. I got tired of drawing maps on serviettes at dinner, showing its location, so I now carry a 4 X 6 map of the English Channel and the North coast of France identifying where our Islands are ...... and I have even had to produce this pic to show American dairy farmers whose whole stock of cows are Jerseys where they came from. When first asked where they think their Jersey cows originated from, I am usually greeted with a blank look. :D :D :D

All the best, hope to see you again sometime, perhaps in Macon. :up

As long as, hopefully, it's still knocking about somewhere and hasn't been scrapped or broken yet I'm happy.

Haha, that's pretty funny John! I know some Americans must read this forum and you're not all like that, but I must say you do seem to encounter that poor knowledge of geography more often than not.

I'd love to make another event or meet sometime. :up
