Alan Matthews - Auto Passion

So, came across the Ebay ad with the GTA interior and was interested to see that the seller was selling it due to stripping one down for racing.

I contacted the seller and the gentleman selling is one Alan Matthews of Auto Passion.

I'm sure many on the forum will know of this gentleman, had a long chat and he's been selling/racing/fixing Alpines for decades!

He's not on any of the forums so I took the opportunity to promote RAOC, hopefully he will join up and share his wealth of knowledge. He seemed very interested and already spoke about arranging an open day at his location in Dorset.

Alan brought a 5 Turbo and GTA Le Mans to Origine RS last year. Sadly he couldn't make it this year.

He was at Origine RS last year. I think he has a Le Mans, T2 and Spider. He sold many Alpines back in the day through his old business Eurotec. He has bought a few GTA's recently so obviously got his Alpine Mojo back again.

I don't think he impressed Phildini too much though.....

He did mention a bit of old beef but was hoping that was water under the bridge. Very knowledgeable chap.

He offered to buy my complete collection although it came to nothing. He did mow my lawn though and let me have a go on the mower so can't be all bad lol

He did say he was going to build his own take on the Europa cup at the time so seems to be going ahead with that. Will be interesting to see how it turns out as they do some nice stuff there.

He was going to buy the Green GTA and a breaker from me.

I'm still waiting for my lawn to be cut....

Looking forward to what he does with the GTA racer though.
