Rear brake

Postby pgoldsmith » Fri Mar 31, 2017 5:32 pm

I am just preparing the GTA for it's MOT and whilst I was in the process of resetting the handbrake I noticed that I've now only have one 'anti rattle' spring attached to the pads.
Question(s);
1) Are we still able to get these and if so where or does someone have one they'd be willing to sell?
2) Is it unsafe to drive if one is missing ?

I can't really tell but you don't appear to have a retaining slide in there either ? Just the anti rattle ?If so the pads can fall out
I've got retaining slider kits in stock .

Yes, I took the photo without the retainer fitted.
So are the springs used just to avoid the pads squealing ?
