location for cutout

hi, does any one know were the much talked about cutout problem is located in the ecu ? if it is programed in the chip or placed elswere.
Hope D.G. is Working overtime fitting the adaptronic... :lol: on to a gta.

Hi

Its inside the ecu, and not removable, it just has the ability to be 'fooled!'

hi David, yes fooled, but only till around 14 psi as i understand. I was aming for 16-18 psi if the engine can take the pressure.

I,ve got uprated 'chip' installed ( not a DG ,its an old BBR upgrade ) and have been testing to find the cutout and with this there isn,t one :shock: I have fitted ART manual boost controller and can just keep winding it in .I have had it up to 20 psi peak :twisted: and it will probably keep going, but have of course turned it down to run 16 peak ,DG is this to much :?:

You want it to hold around 15psi, peaking slightly higher.

What you have to remember is, if you take the gauge feed of the original factory gauge pipe, on 90% throttle and below, you can make the gauge read past 20psi, so check this isnt what you are getting..

You can make it hold around 15-16 psi if that is what you desire. Any more is beyond the limits of the fuel injection system and turbo/intercooler capacity..

I'm running the gauge feed off the DV pipework .Have removed the old gauge feed and plugged the hole in the V6 .

I have change the turbo T3/T4, ART intake, new hks blowoff and i have change the fuel regulator so that should be up for
the job, but is the intercooler to weak and do i need larger injectors ? my worry`s was if the inside of the
engine could take it.

The inside of the engine is fine. You cannot use larger injectors without new engine management. With the fuel regulator, you only have to adjust is a very, very small amount to get the extra fuel, too much and the engine will lose torque and power.

The intercooler is not weak, it is just in a bad position. Moving the intercooler, or using a water cooled intercooler, or adding water injection is the next modification.

When the Adaptronic is ready, it can be used to trigger water injection at a certain turbo air temperature and this will bring the temperatures down dramatically and make more power and torque.

Dying to get it! I've had a set of bigger injectors waiting for the ECU for about 8 months now!!! Come on David!!!! :lol:
