Handbrake

Postby peterg » Tue Aug 30, 2005 2:54 pm

My new cables are on their way but I'm having trouble getting rid of whats left of the old! I cut them about 6 inches from where they enter the cabin (under the floor) and Ive released them at the handbrake lever end but they still dont appear to want to come out! Are they held in by something else or do I just need to use a bit more brute force because they have been in the car forever and have got wedged??

(I take it your talking about the ends that go into the handbrake leaver through the floor) :?: . They just locate into the handbrake mount metal body, they do rust up and therfore need some WD40 and a good copper hammer, mine were the same where the water had got in over the years...
