Paddle shift extension new Alpine A110

Postby Wobblywheel » Sat Oct 26, 2019 9:32 am

I im love with my new Alpine however the sun is not without some dark spots. The paddles for gear selection are too short for my taste. It is not problem for daily driving but when you are on the track it is apparent. I have tried to locate an extension but failed so far. Any ideas??

I performed a test first with cardboard and then aluminium pieces just to test the functionality. It is not beautiful and is just a functional model. The result was that it worked perfectly and with no hindering of other functions. The driving experience was wastly imroved on twisty roads!

I saw those the other day when I was looking for geo settings, but I'm not convinced they'll help much. If anything it's having the paddles reach down lower that would be useful rather than higher. But given that even in sport mode the car will shift up/down if necessary, I haven't yet found a situation where being unable to reach them is a problem.

I would have thought that access to the multimedia control would be an issue if the RH paddle was extended down. Personally don't have a problem with the paddles as they are - but then I'm a wheel shuffler on the road.
