A610.... Ebay Sales/ present and Past.... PRICES UK/ France.

Postby a22 » Tue Sep 04, 2007 8:02 pm

Yes, hi and interesting bartering and bantering.

I maybe :P want an A610 as my GTA is not as rare and fast! Its great though because it has only done not even 40 thou miles. Runs very sweet and 32 MPG :P
Anyway,I couldn't help looking at this thread though because I think in late May there was a A610 on Ebay, It was previously in a museum in Singapore, RHD may i add and only 20,000 miles i think. Does anyone know what happened to this car? It was the red colour but not the GTA red, darker.
Why are prices so low for these Alpine in UK?

Well I acted quickly when I saw it advertised for £6999 and put a deposit down, was going to collect this Thursday. Confirmed all was okay on Monday with the dealer who was acting as an agent for the vendor.

got a call Wednesday evening to say he wasn't going to sell it to me after all....

Make of that what you will. I swore a bit. :?

the words gift horse & mouth came to mind.... oh and card & credit.

Was planning to get for my brother in law who has a red one but really wants a blue one.... does it make sense now? Then we were going to sell his red one.

A610- Rupert

Postby a22 » Fri Sep 07, 2007 7:19 pm

Hi Rupert, aah so you think it is the same one, previously in a museum I think in Hong Kong/ Singapore or some Asian place?
They (whomever 'they' is ) reckon it has only done 20k or less even I think? Are we talking about the same car? It all sounds abit odd. What were their reason for not selling? Did you view the car?

Oh, also your car list mentions 1989 atmo 24v, presume a different engine, tell more more, still learning about the possibilities! Myself, just a little bored about the styling of the GTA, prefer the wider arches, more power and also those A310 with the great big arches/ wheels were beautiful looking cars? The GTA needed just a little more extremism but I guess it arrived with the Le Mans/ A610.... Prices are falling more it seems, soon they will maybe be paying people to take the things away! Glad I got a left 'ooker, as it seems it is worth quite abit still in France. :)

That's a bit out of order Rupert  Don't worry though it will be available through someone on the site for £10,995 soon enough :D

Postby a22 » Tue Sep 11, 2007 8:01 pm

Well, maybe all relevant information but I guess also 'innocent until proved guilty', anyone wanna prove it guilty!? So far though don't much like the info provided....
One concern is with Alpine enthusiasts, probably they are not so stupid  ! I'm sure they aren't by far. Why hasn't anyone else snapped the car up :?: I guess everyone could ask that question. Why not? Are we all poor  Or maybe the car isn't good, or maybe its a gem  who knows? :D   :) :o
