Atmo manifold

Postby JohnC » Wed Jan 19, 2011 4:53 pm

Having decided to check out a slight coolant leak just in front and below the carbs, I removed the manifold to get to the offending joint. However I am in need of 6 x neoprene seals, and a couple of the manifold plastic spacers, I seem to remember seeing a post telling us they are always broken once the manifold is removed.....well that appears to be true!!!
I went to Renault but it appears that they can get the seals from Renault France.....in time, but even after a call to Renault they appear not to be able to supply the spacers.
Can some kind member point me in the right direction to aquire these items. I have not placed the order for the seals yet, in case I can get them a bit quicker via this forum. Also I notice both the seals and spacers are different in the Atmo as opposed to the Turbo.
Any help would be appreciated.

OK guys Thanks, I have found the items on the Simon Autos site, and have found prices, so can only assume they have stock. :D .... now what is the best way to order bits from him....on line or by phone?.... I do find their site not very easy to navigate though

Cheers

That seems like a great idea Richard.....I wish I had known that before I ordered new ones.....but they are on the way now. But what I have decided to do is to thinly smear some Weldseal or similar onto the side of the spacer that mates with the head....hoping it will have the effect of reducing the risk of them cracking....heres hoping
