early 1997 model, price is a bit steep but it looks clean, orignal average mileage must have had some paint as a 23K miler would have some stone chips showing

Hello everyone, just joined the club and thought I'd say hello. I just bought this spider and am chuffed to bits with it. Probably paid too much but my haggling skills are "wee wee" poor.

I'm no expert on these but my neighbour's pretty clued up and he thought it was pretty mint except for a loose/sloppy gearlever, any thoughts?. Highish mileage but a complete main dealer (Renault Manchester) service history (hope that's a good thing) and recent cambelt change so I hope it's not a lemon. Been in the same family from new and according to the owner it's never been tracked and the paint is original.

Thanks to Mr Dell and Andy for the offer of expert help, I hope I don't live to regret not being able to take you up on it.

I've got a copy of the parts catalogue from Graham Saul which is useful but can anyone tell me if/where I can get hold of a copy of the workshop manual.

Also if anyone knows where I can get a bikini roof or rain cover please get in touch as it might get me a brownie point from the missus.javascript:emoticon('')

I'm booked to go to Le Mans Classic with a group of friends so hope to meet up with some of you there (not sure if I'll be in the spider though). javascript:emoticon('')

Well done! Hope you enjoy the car.

OEM emergency roof is a hard to find option but you can get one made for £500 - £1000 or so depending on spec.

The two piece tonneau cover should come with the car as standard so ask if it's missing.

I have a spare tonneau cover available if you get stuck but there seems to be a reasonably priced option from Trip Toor at the moment:

Cheers Stephen - Yes the tonneau came with the car.

TBH I'd rather the lovely Mrs JP have a bad hair day than go to Mr Toor.

If noone can help I might have to go for the Blue Peter option :x
