OK, just assumed the fan would continue to run like on most cars on a temp switch, as long as that is the case then it's another job off the "to do" list

If you are looking for a second fan, I will shortly have a spare one up for grabs. It is fully working, but as I have just had a new rad I thought I'd treat my GTA to a pair of electric ons (another great expence).

You can have the old one for £35 posted.

All you will need is 4 bolts, nuts and spacing washers, it has the electrical connector to plug straight in to the existing loom as well as the mounting legs which should fit the mounting holes in your rad.

PS: mine stops as soon as you kill the ignition too.

On some cars where the engine is in the same compartment as the rad, they are set up to run on. But the rad fan continuing after the ignition is cut wouldn't achieve anything on a GTA.

Do GTA engine compartment fans run on like an A610 one?
(Which I must get round to fitting on the A310s.... )

Yep GTA engine compartment fans typically start up again a few minutes after leaving the car parked. They can run for a fair while too!

Yes they will cycle on and off till the temp drops ,unless you have snazzy glass catches and no engine lid

I added an 11" fan to compliment the original, just for piece of mind. The wiring is alrady there, it was an ebay bargin at 12 squid, from a Range Rover I was told.

Yep very happy. They're whisper quiet, and the pair weigh less than the original single, plus they pump far more air and are a perfect fit. Can't say fairer than that.

If you can I'd go for a matching pair and ditch the original Renault item coz it quite literally sucks. If you can wait then Ebay'll probably come up suitable goods for a very cheap price as Simon showed.
