LOWER STEERING JOINT WANTED- URGENT!!!!

Postby Mr Jon » Thu Sep 07, 2006 6:03 pm

Can anyone help me get my world of pain back on the road?

All i need for the cars MOT is a lower steering joint off an early GTA, failing that a complete unit off a later model (must include the joint).

Simon Autos doesn't have one as they only supply for left hookers, also Renault can't help as it's an Alpine component.

If i can get this vital part i can have the car road tested and who knows it might even not over heat

Thanks in advance!

I was going to say, we get our DeLorean ones rebuilt because new ones are so stooopidly expensive ($368 for the upper joint if memory serves). Turnaround is about a week.

Lower Steering Joint

Postby David Keer » Sun Sep 24, 2006 11:28 am

Hi,
I just had mine replaced at Roadspeed, in Stroud, UK
They replaced the inner worn part with new Hardy Spicer joint, as finding a complete unit was nearly impossible. Speak to Chris Rabbett, on:

Good luck, David
