I was thinking the same Keith. Had mine agreed at £23,500 for the past 2 years, but looking on t'interweb tonight I can't see anything under £30K, and some well over that. I'd be a bit annoyed not to be able to replace mine like-for-like if the worst happened.

Nice car but would probably need a lot of fettling if you want to start using it as it should be. Then off course the mileage will go up and value will be affected. Better to get one that has been used and loved if you want to drive one and it may be a little cheaper to buy.

Spider is for driving :D

I had a similar discussion with Ian earlier.

About a month ago I sold probably the best spider I have ever owned for £22.5k with a set of newly refurbished trophy wheels thrown in. I have had plenty and this was easily the best paint and engine bay plus cams, induction orbisoud exhaust and lots of nice bits. All the books case tonneau and factory hood. I would have liked to think it was worth £30k maybe £25k min but it didn’t get there.

The historics auction car a couple of weeks ago was ok nothing exceptional and made £21k plus fees.

I believe one of my old cars (& marks) P3RSS with trophy spec engine, induction and trophy bonnet made £26k reasonably recently and that is the highest actual sale I know of.

There are 2 yellow cars at £30k+ with the boomerang rear spoilers and they both belong to a guy called Nigel and they have literally been for sale for years.

I think this guy has seen those and has priced similarly. Nice if you can achieve a sale at that level but will be a long long wait.

So imo while nice to think your car is worth £30k in reality if you want to actually sell it you will probably get mid to low 20’s if it’s a tidy car. Some are still selling in mid to high teens.
