Flashing headlights can be costly.

There was a case recently, where a motorist flashed his lights at on comming traffic to warn of a mobile speed camera.
The flasher got prosecuted for miss use of flashing his lights.

sort of connected.... but just be carefull.

If he was in an unregistered, non-taxed, uninsured car without an MOT, and driving without a licence, then it would have been different.

Well I wont be flashing anyone (with my lights) after last nights adventures...

Left Colchester about 7pm heading home....about 15 minutes into the journey the radio packs up  still never mind...a few minutes of silent driving later and i start thinking....the instrument lighting is even worse than i remember......a bit further on and its like someones replaced my headlights with a couple of tealights!....i guess you can all see where i going (or not) here....

anyway, made it to about 5 miles from the M25 before it all cut out...battery completly flat...phone the RAC, the bloke turns up, hits the alternator a few time before agreeing its dead......after some deliberation we hook up one of his spare batteries and he follows me home....

now im coming down the hill, no more than a mile from home and the engine cuts out....all the lights are still on...so we swap the battery for another one, makes no difference...after a bit a messing about our guess is that the fuel pump has packed up cause we cannot hear above the traffic  end up with a tow home...

Now the funny thing is, when i get home and put it in the garage it starts....all be it, a bit spluttering...so of all things i probably ran out of fuel  ...my fuel guage has always been accurate for the five years i have had the car until now....looks like ive got the electrical gremlin this year!...
