In my niaivity I didn't keep the inlet tract. Having said that, I can't see it would fit into the GTA engine bay. So the valves are all set in the open position.
I'm thinking about rotating the inlet manifold 180 degrees to get some cold air from the spoiler area - which is apparently possible, but will involve ditching the water pump in favour of an electric one.
The other posibillity would be to ditch the quite complex inlet arrangement and get throttle bodies.Eddie tells me this is a good way forward - but for now I just want to get it running and finish (well start) the interior.

Forgot to mention a few other mods, including a custom 3 core radiator with..... a drain plug!
The compact air con unit I have is from a Porsche and should mount in the nearside front wing.
A610 front badge.
Twin aftermarket rad fans... still need to refit the air inlet scoop.
didn't like front foglights so have had brake ducts fitted - the intention is to direct some fresh air into the cabin.
Yellow dipped beam bulbs.... Saddo!

Keep pressing on!!!! I feel like that sometimes about my A610, but when you have spent so much money on the car you can't give up now!!!

Also good to know the whole story behind this project!

Making a start on the interior to take my mind off the brakes issue!

Door panels, spray glue, alcantara, new Alpine speakers behind original grilles.

Et voila!

This car looks great! Good colour choice. I'd love a LeMans panelled GTA myself.

Andy...

It's a new system. You only pay once you find out if the part is okay.
He's giving me a Spider next week!

Good system hey. Bet you don't get that with every club

Unfortunately I already gave that away figaratively speaking yesterday. Well sold it too cheaply any way. New owner wants to pick up next week.

Will have to be one of the Clios now for Macon standby, but be quick as there a few nibbles on both of those as well now the bottom line price has been revealed.

New headlining done.

Door panels recovered and fitted with new speakers.

Fuel pumps rewired - relays relocated.

ECU remounted properly.

Brake servo replaced.

Halfway there on freeing the door release and central locking.

Door locks and ign lock replaced. One key for all - what a novelty.

Pics to follow.

Interior mostly finished and looking pretty decent now.
Pumps rewired, wiring tidied, new oil pressure gauge fitted... but still not working...
After about 8 months, amazingly started first time - albeit with a new set of plugs.
The speedo works, which it never ever has. The tacho does not, it clearly doesn't like the signal from the Emerald ECU. No water temp gauge either....

So, I drove it up the road tentatively and the brakes no longer bind thank F***!
Tomorrow morning it's off to the rolling road where it'll be staying for a couple of days. Then on to the MOT, hopefully by the end of the week.

Photo's tomorrow.
