I went to see this car back in Nov 09.
The bodywork shocked me then, since the guy never even mentioned it !.

Ahh, it was the one in Glochester then.
It was roughly 10miles north of Bristol. It was a Turbo also. Horrific paint, and a smashed rear hatch.

However, it did have a small fortune spent on the suspension, and engine subframe. It had all been stripped back, repaired where required and all powder coated.

Boys this is an ATMO and has spent the last 10 years in Scotland previous to Andrew, thus not the one from Gloucester. I would be interested to find out what actually happened to that one tho?

Andy001 - Good luck with this one mate, should make a nice car when it's done

I know Andrew , just me being me
Makes sense to bin this lump and plonk in the other with a quick head job .
If all goes to plan we should have the lump swapped in the next two weeks and then see how she fairs with the MOT man .
Brakes are binding but do work so I think a disc and pad job should free them up .Handbrake lines don't want to come out so I'll just tie them up out the way to drop the guts as they do seem free .
Fluids etc and we'll see how it goes .
Interior is one of the nicest I've seen ,especially as it's sat unloved for a decade +

Looking doubtful crankwise ....
Big end knock on the car's lump turned out to be 3/6 journal goosed ,not overly suprised having heard it coming off the trailer and sump off only added to the certainty
Image
Other lump's is better but still shows signs of picking up ,I will have to give it more of a rub and see .
Nasty ,messy job
