Yes thanks to Julie's and Nicky for a great day, John and I had a good time and winning the RAOC class was a nice surprise. Looking forward to any future opportunity for some thing similar!

Nice day out and the weather was great. Sarah and Summer seemed to enjoy it too. Summer especially liked the clapping at the awards.

Thanks to Jules & Nicky and in the words of the MG man, points please?

Think it was 31, 25, 21 or similar...

I think we came 5th overall, second novices, points were in the 30's maybe higher than 31....

More importantly a nice day out....and we seemed to be following the same route as the Jowett and saw them repeatedly, car speed was certainly less important than navigation accuracy. 8HP CAN compete with 250. I still hope we came in front of them (Jules??)

The points followed a pattern-
1 point you could see from the car
2 points needed you to get out and rummage until you found the clue
3 points meant either getting out a magnifying glass or walking for half a mile from the car, or sometimes both. This means human speed was more important than car.

You can still do well with 8HP  The Jowett team scored 22 which is good score. 8)

I'll publish the full results later this week but as you will see the class system does skew things a bit. One of the classes was won with 10 points!

RAOC were in the hardest class as they were up against the IRC crews that do this 8 times a year! It was also the class with by far the most entries

I think the novice section results proved we lived up to our rallying heritage

Good work boys...
