I dont think even Stephen has seen this.. :lol:

On the side of the instrument pod, there is a slight lump, that looks like a hole that has been filled in the Alpine factory for some reason...

This is what was meant to be in the hole.

Suprisingly I have two Alpines that have had this, but ive never seen it again...

Wonder if it was a drivers side window demist for the LHD and hence redundant for RHD.

What a lost of hassle to fill that in though on every dash! They did it by hand with filler!

Why is it redundant for RHD, what's different?

Not sure it's a vent though ,looks closed off.Maybe it was there for some sort of 80's carphone :lol:

Steve had a good idea of why it could have been stopped....constanly blowing cold air into the passengers face...
