Why doesnt my Ren dealer recognise part No's

Just telephoned my local ren dealer for some cam cover gaskets armed with a part No from the parts book i downloaded, there answer was that there system didnt recognise the No :( Is it me or them :?:
Renault Spider, Marcos Mantis, TR6...

old part numbers......that have been superceeded and they can't be arsed to look for the new ones, or the parts are discontinued and are no longer available..you can get gasket kits from a good motor factors wholesaler they should be able to find what you are looking for.

Are the gaskets the same has the 25 Turbo? just a thought if i am asking at the motor factors?

do you know the part numbers for the two brass nipples that sit on the end of the v 6 pipe ive tried loads of places and the dont have one with thread size that small

Wrong No :?: Just collected the cam gaskets from my freindly :evil: Renault dealer today, telephoned them to say the gaskets are wrong & they are trying to say that they wont take m back coz they are special order :twisted: there going to get them back in the morning though :evil: , what a set of cowboys who wont even take the time to check out is somthing is correct.

:oops: Any idea with the correct No :?:

Definately right numbers. Double and triple checked.

The number is correct on the system, but maybe the physical part is wrong. Take them the rocker cover and gasket and show them it is wrong.

Thats really strange Dave :?: god knows what the gaskets are off? they are physically longer, ill take the cover in and see if it helps them at all, are you sure with the last no-3?, only reason i ask when i put the order in i think the last No was either 2 or 4 that they came up with, i thought i was been smart :oops: with the correct No :?:

Yes, I have online access to the live RenaultParts database 24hrs a day, so the part number cant be wrong, but the part is....or theyve just made a cockerel up at Renault!

Same numbers on the 25 Turbo too..

Dave just called at Renault, the part no 6001040294 is for a Renault safrane :?: any ideas :?: they are going to ring Renault on Monday to try n get it sorted
