Last weekend the spider was crusing along OK then the motor
just went to idle and the accelerator pedal fell to the floor.
No biggy I figured, broken cable. Back home I checked the pics
of the parts in the manual and the drivens end of the cabel is supposed
to just plug into the end of a bar with a plastic plug. I expected to find
the plug or something close to that end broken or snapped.
This is what I found.

Looks nothing like the manual pics and the cable comes from the wrong
direction, note the arrow shows what direction the rod moves when the
pedal is depressed. This means the cable has to come back around
for the rod to be able to pull on the cable to work the throttle properly.
My question is, is some part missing that I'm not aware of? The rod
has a part that is bolted into it and an adjustable screw section that
doesn't appear on the parts list. HELP!

I've ordered a new cable just in case it can shed any light on this issue
but I'd love to be able to fix it without resorting to replacing the whle cable.
Cheers, Rod
