That's unfair. It needs to be the right price for someone who can do the work (or most of it) themselves.

It all depends on how cheap it is....if its £2500 or £3000 then its ok.....if hes after £4-5000 then its not. As Simonsays mentioned there'll be other stuff that hasnt been noticed!

My GTA on Ebay

Postby holty » Thu Feb 24, 2005 9:25 am

Firstly i would like to thank stephen dell for his expert opinion and time spent viewing my car his comments where very informative ! i own a garage that deals in the desposals of part exchanges from Main agents and this was a reluctant part exchange.
i would like the car to go to a enthusiast how bring it up to its former glory. Stephens offer was a little cheeky to say the least, but i expect a fair price for it to make would be £3000 to £3500 !
i to am nervous of the initial bidder with zero Rating and the fact that he has not conntacted me !

Thanks for your thoughts and comments

Heres another...looks smart enough. I take it this is the cream leather one people have mentioned???

I notice its not running turbo shields...nice weight saving going on!! :D . The other thing I noticed is the wheels seem to be a little oddly off set. The rears look too far in the arches while the fronts look like theyre sticking out.....maybe its just the photos.

Ramo's Car

Postby Ramo » Mon Mar 07, 2005 6:43 pm

Hi every one!
Yes it is mine and yes I'm absolutly gutted   And before you ask there is absolutly nothing wrong with it. I've just found out I may have to look for another Job and relocate  The rear wheels are set in a little and need adapters front ones are fine. She's back on the for sale section. What shields are you on about? By the way if I don't get the money for it I'll have to sell my other love in my life ( no not the Girlfriend  ) although I wonder how much I would get for her on Ebay :D . No my Renault 17 decoverable.

Sell the Renault 17!!!!!!!!!! Who wants one of those???? Ok they looked ok, but even the legendary Gordini version wasnt fast...yes theyre rare...but you arent going to find a decent replacement for your girlfriend when youve sold her on Ebay driving a Renault 17!!!
On a more serious note, the shields I mentioned are a set of chrome shields that make a nice cube around the hot side of the turbo. I'm about to remove mine as they weigh a couple of kilos and they dont appear to be strictly necessary. Does your car still have the turbo extractor fan?? It attaches to the turbo shield via a length of fabric piping on a normal car...but I reckon it must weigh a couple of kilos so its about to meet the storage box too!!! 8)
