1992 GTA

Postby mellowyellowa610 » Tue Jun 09, 2009 8:52 pm

Bit of an unusual looking GTA for sale. Looks very tidy though for the price.

That is John Atkins old car.

I supplied the wheels. It also has £600 worth of tubular rear suspension.

He part exchanged it last week for a dakar yellow BMW M coupe, which he got for a steal and with a generous p/ex on the GTA to boot!

This is the ol' boy who paid main dealer prices to get this car back on the road, and kept me on the phone for hours on a couple of occasions.

Imagine my surprise one day, pootling along in the 610 towards Heathfield in 5pm traffic, to see everyone ahead snaking around someone broken down on the verge. T'was this car.

What are the chances?! An A610 randomly happenning across a broken down GTA on the side of the road :D

Anyway, I can tell you that unless he's sorted it out, the fuel gauge doesn't work!!! (the reason for the breakdown).

I didn't get a good look over the car, but it really looks the nuts in the flesh - the wheels are awesome.

More stickers of course!

I can't help but think I have seen a similar grill at the bottom of the bumper before.....aha

Here's a statto question for Dell Boy, why in some cases is the collar of the wing mirror been left black and not colour coded?

I think it looks crap to be honest but hey each to their own.

As said above to be fair it does look well looked after.

Corrosion. New replacements are black. Also an easy DIY paint job in satin black for a quick fix. No colour match problems.
