Oil coming out of the dipstick tube - what`s wrong?

Postby alpine99 » Fri Apr 01, 2005 8:46 pm

All

Cause/solution sought

When competing, driving at track days, oil is being forced out of the top of the dipstick tube. It never used to do this and the car has not been overfilled.

Any ideas?

Could be breathing too heavily, ie blocked breathers, or one has become disconnected...

Of course the engine may be getting a large amount of blowby past the rings, due to wear, more than the std breather system can handle.
