Full on JIL

Postby clee » Fri Dec 31, 2010 11:45 am

Time for reflection and I've not got as far as I wanted to this year .Engine side is pretty much sorted ,we just need to get a final figure out of the present lump and then crack on with MK2 lump .
Heads will be coming off to check burn and poss a little bit of valve work but not too much more can be done .

Of course power is nothing without control  so to that I'm stripping the whole car down and upgrading a few bits ,must be ready by start of the end of Spring if not before

Front end running gear/suspension is all off to be rebushed etc and so is rear .
Some bits that will go on ......Done a deal with the Devil

This going to be a great project to see unfold, glad you have posted it up lee. I will be very interested to see what you think of the gas coilovers as this is what i am thinking of putting on the 610. What are your power expectations ?

On this engine 300 at the wheels should be possible .On the rollers at 5500k and 15psi it was 260 at engine. It will rev to 7500 and take 25psi peak power around 6.5k.
Heat from the silly turbo is a pain but now have half a dozen options turbo wise and some nice fat air2air coolers that need glassing in where the std fits .

I hope you worked all this out on something beefier than a blackberry..... or is that just the new speedo console.

Good Luck, look forward to seeing it "on track".

Hi Lee,
I have 2 rear bushes left over from when I did my car. The part number is 7700518047. I will drop them off when I bring the engine across for Andy's car.

Regards
Andrew.

The two bushes I've got are quite substantial and fit the rear uprights. They cost a lot more than £8 each so Renault must have them on offer at the moment.
When you order the bushes from Renault a lot of them come in packs of two, hence why I have spare ones.
