So the Osellie car was a dog and ate itself after all? I’m not in the least bit surprised I did warn of Oselli and their incompetence with this marquee.

I agree that the 300 in the ‘Dell Cave’ is a £12,000 car at very best and advised Stephen of this when I saw it a while back. As he says though he has advised the owner who thinks differently, it depends I guess on where the owner has got his information. If he is basing it on French prices he is a very long way of the mark, as all French 300’s I have seen when over there with the Venturi Owners club are in exceptional condition and the one at Stephen’s is not even close. :x :x

PaulyA610 if you really want a Venturi from France you must have very deep pockets, Extreme Limite has some for sale and the ex-Philippe Bachelet Atlantique 300, RHD is on their website at a very steep 40,000 Euros. Last time I saw that car it was immaculate, but not 40K’s worth.

As for the prices of the A610 or GTA in similar condition being a lot less, what was the price of these cars when new? Forgive me but I do not have this information, the Venturi Atlantique 300 was a couple of bob short of £60,000 when new, would this perhaps be a reason for the higher second hand values, assuming they are achieved?

A610 was £40K dead at their peak. Slashed to £30K in the UK only for 1995 hence the sudden rush of RHD cars at the end.

Didn't they slash the price much earlier than that. I thought they did it in 1993. I can't remember exactly when this program was on but I'm sure from memory the 610 used was brand new and not a 2-3 year old car.

So have I got the only tip top RHD Venturi Atlantique 300 Bi turbo??

LOL! Maybe I should stop driving it at 170mph on the race tracks here?!!

I also have a copy of the rare bellhousing to match the belt driven V6 to the UN1.........

What actually happened to the other 300 Bi turbo, did it blow up after auction??

Richard your Venturi's stock is constently rising, when are you going to put some pic's and update's in the project secton of the forum as i have heard you have been getting the spanners on it since buying it. Would be nice to see how you have been getting on with the car.

Richard's Venturi is a really tidy example and got to Macon and back...sadly the only pics I have of it are in the dark, but I remember some on here earlier, beautiful and tidy.....

Not sure prices have too much to do with it to be honest. Yes your right in essence that a Venturi will always be more expensive than a GTA or 610. It's all about popularity/coolness and thus supply/demand. Not many people when looking for a 2 door sports coupe think of French car do they....

You look at big Mercs and BM's that were near £100k when new can now be had for £5-10K.

On the flip side Mk 1 and Mk 2 Ford Escorts that were peanuts when new are now commanding £10-20k or even more depending on spec/model.

I do think that Alpines in general are going up in value though, it's a slow process but eventually the French will totally cotton on and be over for the cheap RHD cars which will increase values further.

S877KGC is running fine thanks. That is the original reg that it was pictured with in all the road test articles.
Since coming back from Macon I have been driving it weekly with no problems.
I will put up some pictures soon......

I hear from a fellow Venturi owner, who happened to meet the new owner at the Silverstone Classic, that he is prepared to spend money on it to bring it up to a very good condition. This includes bodywork and mechanicals. He seems to be well off as he has Ferrari's and the like also.  Oh and he's Canadian based in the UK, if that makes any difference!
