No he did not, after alot of waiting and a tip off from mr Dell the french buyer messed the owner about so the car has been bought by me!!!! I am over the moon it is my dream car and cant wait to resore her to a former glory, both Clee and Andy will be kept busy!!! Keep an eye out on the project section to see my progress!

Can't wait to see how this goes. I do love the look of this car (as you know when we drooled over Martin Guard's car at Prescott!) Good to know you'll be restoring this and it will be staying in the UK.

I did pay more than I wanted to but the french thought it was a bargin at that price and add that to the fact there are only 4-5 of these left in the uk i just had to go for it.

It was after sitting in Martin Guard's car i really started to get the bug and soon as he said Stephen had one in the AROC lock up i had to get involved!!! As you know john it will be getting alot of love and I will up date my progress as much as possible.

I am so glad to hear chassis number VK8 CUP 411 97 CE 0044 did not go back to France.

I will be interested in watching your progress and look forward to seeing it in the future, maybe at La Vie en Blue 2012 as it is just down the road from you?

Yes this one is the 0042 chassis car. Last sold about 5 years ago for sub £20K! Last time it was offered it was in very nice condition and drove nicely, I did have a test drive at that time but it was bought that weekend by a chap in London. The story is that the car was garaged shortly after the purchase as the chap died, and the widow eventually decided to get rid of it. If it has had little use before it was garaged then it should still be a nice car. One area for concern though it was serviced by the Witney W*nker at Oselli!!!

Nice colour combination though, Silver, black leather and carbon-fibre dashboard etc.

And another thing!!

Take the sellers advertisement blurb with a pinch of salt, the way they have set out the advert you may think it is a 24v bi-turbo, it is not.

Additionally they mention Clarkson and personal jet fighters, this quote is not for the Atlantique 300 it is for the 260 APC from 1992, and was actually about my car, he drove my car on Top Gear in a test alongside a yellow A610 in 1992.

The rest of the advert seems to be correct.
