I don't think you can justify saying the manufacturing technology is anyway special or unique for the time. It was done on the cheap... the quality of the fibre, the preparation, the delamination / osmosis issues etc..
The engine is a low-tech crate motor, and I mean for that period of manufacture (not relating to present)… the technology is somewhat lacking…
