The Danica Patrick of golf... what will they think of next!

Also my roof lining is alive and well in my garage. I'm just lowering the CG ok?

The orange looks good to me.

Yeah... I'm not sure the orange works for a road car. If it was a bit more 'race' and stickered up then it would be fine...

But I'll stick with silver for now!

Here are some pics from the throttle body conversion.

I started by mocking up the assembly on a spare 24v engine. The top of the variable length manifold with twin throttle bodysetup needs removing.

The bare cnc machined adaptors courtesy of Eddie Wynne were trial fitted.

Two sets of Toyota throttle bodies from the four cylinder ae101 were removed from their manifolds ready to trial fit on the adaptor plates.

Here are the six individual throttle bodies in formation.
Image

Tapping the adaptor plate for the m6 mounting hardware.
Image

The throttle bodies are positioned further apart on the new manifold than they were intended for, this required some modification of the throttle stops.
Image

Image

One of the throttle body mounting holes interfers with theadaptor plate bolt hole so I redrilled the throttle body to use a single bolt through both.

Good pics John, good to see better technology going into the UK contingent in general, long time coming... keep it coming. Is this going MegaSquirt, Eddie should have a map for that to drop straight in.

Seems Eddie's conversions are beginning to pop up. Just finishing off a 3ltr 12V for a Fezza P4 Nobel with a set of Eddie's manifolds and the owners Jenvey's.. Looks awesome, can't wait for the rasp in my ear, think they would happily suck up a few babies too if not careful.. I'll put up a pic.

Hi Martin.

It's been running on an emerald ECU and we're hoping that it will still run once the throttle bodies are on as the injectors have not been altered.

The plan is to take it to Emerald to get it set up properly in due course.

Engine loom rerouted and tidied, added sensors that were missing from installation including air temp sensor.

Reversed fuel rails, new fuel lines and new fuel pressure gauge. Powdercoated rockercovers. New waterpump with correct Renault thermostat.

Manifold tapped for emerald vacuum block to supply brake servo. 50mm velocity stacks with internal screens.

Toyota ae101 throttlebodies on EW adaptor plate. Bespoke fabricated linkage. Seperate O2 sensor bungs added to each header.

Trial fitted below, starts and runs ready for rolling road mapping session. Sounds awesome, needs to be heard!!

Airbox or individual filters? Pity to cover that up when it looks so good!

Thinking of adapting a engine cover to let the trumpets stay on view and make the area above the cover one big air box. The trumpets will have to be enclosed by a alloy tray...
Something vaguely like this:

but with the engine cover closing down around the tray.
Don't know if it'll work though....[/url]
