Gear position stickers

Postby R1313 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 7:56 pm

The ashtray was full of scratches and scars. Paint black and sprayed with Plasti Dip. To get the final original touch, printed up some copies of the gear-stickers. Contact me if anyone needs a sticker. Have any left. /Jörgen

I have use the clear non color... perfect also for the dark gray surfaces. (on picture is the plastic does not dry, becomes mat when it dries.)

Never new there was supposed to be a gear shift diagram on the ashtray. Was this standard?

Maybe useful for women who navigate with map upside down.

Surely you know where to go for the next good gear by now man?

It's not on the ashtray on the Le Mans - on mine it's on the top edge of the windscreen - clear plastic with black lettering. Looks like it has always been there and it's pretty obvious to see whilst not being obtrusive.

Anyone else have the same?

The gear sticker was standard on all left hand drives as the gearknob is plain leather and does not have a shift pattern printed on it.

We got a crappy plastic gearknob with a shift pattern already on it so the sticker was not needed BUT I can only think they must have stuck a load on a batch of ashtrays that were used in both cars as some RHD cars had the stickers including mine.
