Hey Big Fella, cracking find.

This definitely is an 1988 MVS Venturi 200, I have partial records on this car but not a full chassis number.

For those that may be interested it will be the easier of the Venturi stable to restore as it is basically a GTA 501 engine & 501 ECU with the UN1 gear box. I am not sure if it will have rods or cables for the gear change mechanism, though I suspect rods. Also Paul Dobrowski has carried out a lot of work on his 200 and could well be a good source of advice and inspiration.

Let’s hope our French cousins do not get their hands on it, it is unlikely as it is RHD but if it is cheap enough they might consider converting it to LHD.

Why do these sort of cars always turn up in the most obscure places..?? A couple of A610 turned up in main dealers as PX...... never happens to me though

On Saturday El Presidente was saying he's got too many cars at the moment and must get rid of some....

Makes me realise what a stuuner the one at Brooklands was. Note to self stop dithering next time you see a rare nice car in great condition just buy it and hide it from the wife.

What is obscure about Lancashire then, eh? God's county don't you know? Oh and they are the reigning County Cricket Champions.

By the way before the 210 Spider was sold to France there was 3 Venturi resident up there in the county, and possibly 4 with this one.

If anybody is serious about this beastie, Steve Dracup the former owner of the 210 Spider has been to see the car and has stated “It needs a lot of work and cost”, he also has offered to talk with anybody on the Venturi Group if they are interested, so I have sent him an email to ask if we can open that offer up to this forum also. If he replies yes then I will release his mobile number.

True that is the jist of my first post, 'cept they put the engine in the right way round and not a*se about face like the GTA. Ha ha

Apart from specific parts it can't be that bad ...............Depends why you are buying it I suppose ...makes more sense than a GTA if you are after making a profit at some point ,but for an enthusiast ...All depends on the hammer price .
