after a few faultless months

I tried unlocking using the phob and the key manually, nothing.

apart from the embarrassing situation and making all my colleagues laugh i eventually had to catch a lift as i didnt have the time to look into it in more details there and then. On my return to work this morning it unlocked as normal using the phob

It only happened once before on the weekend Clee and I changed the clutch. after my long journey up north the same thing happened. We connected a spare battery to the starter motor but it didnt make any difference at first but did unlock with persistance

this is a bit odd and not very practical... i dont really want to leave my car unlocked by fear of not being able to get back in when i use it...
has anybody any ideas why this might happen and what to do to prevent this happening again?
thanks
Cedric
