That's looking very nice now.
Out of interest, can you tell what sort of oil that was? Gearbox or engine?
Never seemed to use engine oil although you've seen that there was plenty all over the guts!

Looks like you're building a church organ in the garage :D

It's not that tuneful ..just two notes

Yours are in now so ready to plonk the lump back and out she goes 8) Got to MOT it again though  It only failed on handbrake last time but we've gone a tad over the retest period
Oil ? can't be certain but the rear crank seal was leaking a bit and the retaining plate's capheads came out with fingers ......
New crank seal ,resealed carrier plate and bellhousing seal / shaft o ring for good measure .
Other engine mount came off without snapping bolt in carrier plate so 2 new ones now .Trevor's car has same side mount fail so his other side left in soak to free off as well ...

Good to know about the cross-bolt block. I only know what you guys have posted on the forum about them but had hoped that being a late car, it would be one!

It's all looking great, Lee 8)

Another great job by Lee.

Took the car home this weekend.
Very smooth run home of over 120 miles and it was great to exercise the car on the motorway.
Car feels much more solid at the rear and I don't feel like I have to dodge any undulations on the road any more!
Handling improved and the new gear shift bushing makes the shift feel like new!

This is back in for front end stuff and MOT .Rear end with cold galv and hammerite seems to be holding up well 2 yrs down the line .

All ready bar the new bearings and cleaned up springs .All came apart no bother even the lower wishbone bolts :wtf Seems it depends who put it together in Dieppe and whether they bothered with Le grease .

Exciting stuff (for me). Good to see the Zinga stuff seems to be OK.

I hope it hasn't been attempting to mark its territory too much... ;)

A few drips and I think it is bellhousing related so no quick fix .It had seals aplenty last time .Topped up box and lump and hasn't lost much from either so I think it's a case of living with it for now .
All front end stuff done ,new bearings, bolts and BJ's and luverly powdercoated gear .MOT booked for Monday so should be ready to collect next week .Half term approaches :axe
