More Venturi for Sale

As previously discussed on this forum the Green Atlantique 300 based in Somerset at £25000.

Recently offered on eBay was the 400 Trophy that has been the subject of much work. Originally known as the Camouflage car when it was racing in the gentlemen’s trophy, but now a 600LM replica with new leather interior, pearl white paint and much more than 400 bhp. Offered at £80000 but did not sell.

Currently being offered is a dark blue 200 with tidy interior and good paint though has had some non-standard rear lights and front bumper added. Owner considering offers in the region of £14000.

Now on Piston heads the Red 400 GT2, the only right hand drive 400 GT of 14 cars and one of two only GT2’s. Currently offered at £47500, this is a reduction from when the car was offered for sale previously.

Beautiful car and I'd dearly love to have it but RHD, damaged repaired (albeit brilliantly) and so much other stuff out there at that price...

Really is as quick as claimed. Took it out for a spin at Bruntingthorpe (thanks Keith). Amazing. Hard to believe it's a PRV pushing it along :shock:

Yes i am selling my Venturi 200. I bought the car in2002 and i rarely use it any more. MOT till May 2013.
last mot milage 51527 (not bad for a 1988 car)Yes i have changed the back lights but i think they are better than original and would be an easy fix to convert back.
I am looking for around 14K but that includes a spare engine From an alpine
complete with a new (non water cooled) turbo and a gearbox also from the alpine.
if anyone is interested or knows someone who would like a very rare French vehicle please let them know and pass on my details.

Which rear lights should it have? Not GTA...?
What happened to the 200 barn find on Ebay last year? Did that get back on the road.
Such beautiful cars, I am always tempted when the come up for sale...but I don't have any space (or time) for any more cars..

I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. These cars literally have my name on them but unfortunately I don't fit in them (well a 300 anyway - are these any roomier?). So I think you may struggle as well Mr Metters?

Maybe an idea to put the original lights back on the car in case that has put a few off?

Also Alpines seem to be doing well in a proper classic car auction (not ebay) so might be worth exploring that avenue?

The last eBay motor was sold, but the buyer has not made contact with the Venturi Google page.

Thanks Paul, curiosity solved, and easily restored I would think.
Martin, I did sit briefly in the Venturi that was at the dell cave for a while, seemed tight but ok, but I am a little shorter than you....the 610 is only just acceptable too. Would want a longer look before committing to buy one. The atlantique is just that bit prettier to my eyes too.
The height problem is what comes of being " a genetic mutant" as my eldest charmingly tells me when commenting that as he is only 6 foot, he can fit all sorts of cars I cant have...

What with me being a midget at 6’2” I fit in with at least an inch over the top of my head.

Yes 300 is prettier but is said to be a bit more of a grand tourer compared to the early shape, with a longer wheel base wider track and larger overall dimensions, though not sure about head room. This comment was made by Philippe Bachelet, who I view as something of an expert as he has owned 3 Venturi to my knowledge, mine, the only RHD 260LM and an Atlantique 300.

It's not the head room that's the problem with me, it's leg room.

I just about squeezed in B1 RMA's Lotus but my knees where around the steering wheel. I then sat in PaulY's 300 and was pretty much the same. With the mid engine layout I can't get the seat to go back far enough.

The Alpines are fine, although no-one other than Ronnie Corbett can sit behind me :lol:
