The pattern on the 928 glass is not the same as the A610 glass so you will have to replace both anyway not just one side.

However for the 928 you can buy just the glass new so if your backs are in good undamaged condition you can just buy the glasses and save money that way. Aim to pay approx £100 -£120 for each glass.

When you fit new lights your indicators will then look shocking so best change those as well. Unfortunately the little infill pieces are no longer available so you will have to clean those carefully.

If you still want new genuine Renault A610 lights we can do:

Foglamp LH for £350 instead of £500 (Renault Price)
Foglamp RH for £200 instead of £327 (Renault Price).
Indicators RH or LH for £275 each instead of £500 each or £500 pair (Renault Prices).

Stephen,
Have you looked at the infill pieces for the Porsche? Both the 944 and the 928 use similar bits, maybe they are close enough not to look out of place and they are still available.
I don't know where you got the 120 a side for either 160 to 220 seems to be more normal.
Good news that Renault items are stil available.albeit at crazy prices.

Ok, here is another part I would like to have.... Just wondering if anyone knows "IF" it is possible to get one...

I would feel safe to know I had a back up.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a copy, before I call Renault, and try to explain what it is.
Thanks..

In the technical noes there is a procedure that involves a named individual at Dieppe if you need a replacement..the reality I suspect is its a no longer available part....
I'd like a spare too...

Jon the only time you would need to use it, is if you disconnect the battery, when you re-connect, the hazards all flash and the car does nothing until you plug it in, then it resets everything.. I always disconnect my battery when the car is sat in the garage for any length of time.... This is how I discovered its use..

Mr Dini....
* I may try some headphones, to see if the car has a heart beat! *

The key's never worked for me (I have tried). When I re-connect the battery, the alarm goes off and i press the central locking fob key which resets it all. Was the alarm standard on these cars or an extra?

Alarm and the wierd 70's headphone key are standard...I will try the door opener next time, but I am pretty sure it wouldnt start without this reset key after power off last time.
It's special trick is to trigger the alarm and immobiliser if you try starting it with a low battery. Oddly there is always enough power for the alarm and lights.
Maybe yours has an aftermarket alarm?

Interesting. My car must have an aftermarket immobiliser I guess (with a seperate push fob) but I have never noticed another A610 with one of these. I ALWAYS turn off the battery when the car is not in use but have never used that key so I guess my car has had that by-passed when the immobiliser was fitted.

When I reconnect my car, the alarm goes off, I then press the remote and job done. Hence why I would like another remote for it, but Renault don't seem to want to supply me with one

I made another "blip" remote by getting an old one from EBay and re-coding it. It's easy to copy the links for the code from the original key.
