Next one in for the works .Not as rotten as some of late ,should be all apart soon then we'll see .
Image
Lump shows good compression on both banks with 456 showing higher than 123 as seems to be the rule ..
Image
I have been busy ( well the subcons have ) and starting to build up a stock so can get things moving faster .Got another 3 cars worth I think in the pipeline but fast running out of space at RATS' HQ .

I recall the throttle positioning sensor was a bit crispy on that car

You could start selling refurbished exchanged wishbones services.

Errr yeh ..just a tad .
Lump etc out now after fighting with main bolt for ages ...in this heat ....hardest game in the world .
Will go over the front end in the morning and get that all off .Not looking too bad on the rot front really .Rear seems a lot worse than the front gear .
Sills ...we are deliberating on as they seem OK ,looks like drivers side has been done at some point .

Not that bad ..seen worse .

Both leading edges again ..but turrets and the rest not at all bad .I think we are going to leave the sills intact as it doesn't seem to have any major rot .Will pull up all the carpets and check from the inside though .
Rear nearly done 8) It's been a case of early doors and early evening for welding work as a fan just makes it too O2 rich ..... .Night shift should be back here around 7 8)

Total disgrace that even the basic paint prep and finish allowed this to happen. Up until relatively recently, I had a 1974 Fiat X19 as a spares car (kept outside), and that looked far better than that!!!

Amazing, but I guess you know what will be coming your way each year for the next x-many years... rotted out Alpines, one owner after another, not a case of if, more just a case of when...

never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

As we all know, it's all to do with storage and where they get driven.

Honda CRV are really good when it comes to rust, but we took a 2007 with only 30k miles and a full history, have a look at these pic's.
This car was rejected from the Honda used car program and sent through the auctions........
