WORLD RECORD of LARGEST PARADE OF RENAULT SPORT CARS !

Postby stephendell » Tue Jul 19, 2005 10:35 pm

Received today from Robert Anthonis (President E.A.C.)

Hi Stephen , RAOC UK is the first club who can announce on the club's website that EAC received today the congratulations of GUINNESS for a new WORLD RECORD.

From my side I want to thank all your club members who made this world record possible. Best regards to all of them ,

Robert ANTHONIS , president of E.A.C.

Robert has waited over a year for Guiness to process the claim and I'm sure you all join me in congratulating him!

Well done Robert & E.A.C.

I gather the Lemans WRS may have beaten zolder (if it had been checked).

Don't forget that having more than 600 cars ( Le Mans 700 + ) is the easiest part.

If someone wants to break a record officially there is a lot of red tape.

In fact there are so many rules imposed by Guinness for authentication that it has taken over a year to process Roberts claim, excluding preparation time!

See here for more info if you are planning on breaking a record!

I had a look too and didn't see it, I think it hasn't been added yet as they shut down their system from the 1st to 25th July to update it so we might see it on there by next week.

I still can't see it on the site.
BUT, I did find a gathering of 489 VW "camper vans".
