Pleased to see you got logged in OK :)

It does make me wonder where they do their research especially on a £300,000 car!

At this time the Alpine was fitted with the larger flared fenders of the 1974 cars; however, it can still be seen today where these flares were riveted in place, as opposed to the fitting of entirely new fenders. This is unique to 18165.

AFAIK they were all add on extensions. Like the one downstairs...

Most surprisingly, the inside of the fuel door shows the many layers of paint from different period liveries.

Yes very surprising as only the outside would normally be painted :?

I'm not sure they've ever been cheap (but I do know what you mean!).

in the mid 80's they ( I mean 110's in general- don't ask me exactly which one) were on sale for less than about half the cost of a new GT Turbo, I know because I was faced with the choice at the time and it was tempting, as was the 5 turbo 2's going for around the same, or slightly more, cost as the new GT turbo at the time...... Sadly the lure of the new car clouded my judgment and I went for the GT turbo...although not regretted, it still bugs me now.
never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

That's when I bought mine (no way could I afford a new car).
At the time I could have opted for quite a few other cars instead, but most of them are now valued around a 3rd of an A110 price.
Except the Lotus Elan which is now only 2/3rds - 3/4ths of the price (for the model/standard i was looking at).

I really should have had the 5 Turbo (phase 1 in red with the migrane inducing interior) in 2002 for £7k!!!
