Top job Cedric ,that all looks very well done .
Bolt up those pipes fully though to check fit .The pipe nearest the gear linkage rod ,LHS,where it goes into the tunnel .If the topmount bracket is not quite right ,level with the top of the pipe ,then when clamped in the bay it can rotate slightly and foul .....

SimonAuto for the cable ,although I may have an old serviceable one lying around .

Thanks Simon, cant wait to see it finished too really, its been going on for quite a while now and would be nice to drive it sometimes soon.... well as you guessed i wont be taking it to Origine RS but will still be there, a friend of mine is kind enough to trust me and share his clio 172 with me so will be on the track too

Check they are in square and that the roll pin just clears past the lip ...ish be near enough but in square most important

I have sent Cedric the tech note that Rich (red21) kindly sent to me.
They are different each side.

Been a busy boy last week, sorted out my turbo wastegate actuator bracket so the turbo compressor housing now comes out at the right angle

Then assembled sub frame together although that was a pain as the galvanising built up thickness and nothing was fitting anymore...

Then finally fixed the water pipes

Then took day off on Friday

Added extra heat protection on slave cylinder and hydraulic pipes

And then coz it was late and I was rushing to finish and go to bed made a mistake moving the whole thing about and...

No damage, no one hurt, engine is back under the car in correct position although not attached yet...

Bit of an update (sorry Clee mainly about rust)

Fitted new master cylinder

Then was looking into positioning the charge cooler Rad so removed front bumper and saw the state of the front sub frame etc which annoyed me really so decided to take care of it and removed main rad, front wishbones and hubs etc...

Most of it is actually just surface rust and cleaned well, except for last picture obviously... This will need a but more care, probably will do that at the same time as the door sills
