Paint colour code...

Postby The Saint » Sat Feb 07, 2015 10:41 am

Hi all,
I have my A610 in for a paint job, but wanted to ask, if any of you know the paint code for the original blue that was used on the A610, as my car has had so many re-sprays, its difficult to know what colour is on the dam car...
I have decided to take the car back to the original blue. The I.D. plates on the car, make no sense to me? :crazy
Any help in paint codes would be appreciated.
Thanks
Vince..

Your paint code should be on the back of your bonnet (Blue metal badge with A on it, top left looking from the back) and be 543.

Hey Vince, good to see you are finally getting the A610 in the bodyshop.

Big MVS is right with the code. Here is confirmation. Aspen Blue 543

I just don't know how these painter guys like Andy do this work? I am speachless at just how much work they do stripping the car, and thats before they start the repair and prep work!! Scares the crap out of me! God knows how they remember how to put it all back together!! I dare not look anymore!!

Please ignore the discolored spots on the Alps .... appears to be caused by scanner not able to adjust to glossy brochure paper. :(

Edit
PS. Just noticed mellowyellow's pic has just appeared ..... it was no there 15 mins ago. :o

People do moan about the price of a decent paintjob , but the prep work involved takes many hours, stripping out trim etc before you've even started flatting or even shown it a spray gun. Tot that lot up plus cost of a decent unit and the materials and a couple of grand is easy gone.
I am sure it will look the dogs najjers when it's done, there is nothing like new paintwork. :up
