Another 610 in for a makeover

I admit it's a lovely dream Martin, that the person doing the welding round the corner from Lee is some sort of elfin creature in her flowing frock and welding goggles. Looking all forlorn that she's not got an Alpine herself.....




Sadly I think the reality is closer to this:

Slimer but with less hair and that's not too far away from reality .
All major rot sorted and will be back with me tomorrow for to continue the restoration .Worst one so far but all doable
I've built up a rear end in readyness but will be up on the ramp with me for a while yet before we can drop the lump in .

Stripped for paint when we can get it in somewhere .Lots still for me to do tidying up all the bits I've taken off .....light assemblies ,yuck .

Waiting for the truck to take it to paint .All refreshed underside and under bumpers etc .Will have to strip it and build back up when done .Those peskey painters have little respect for the oily bits so I'll leave the lump out for now .
Load and loads of rusty brackety shite bits have come off all panels so plenty for me to do when it gets back bolting the refurbed bits back on.

Back in and back on its wheels.New roof trim and starting to clean down and re-assemble interior,doors,locks,snapped/pulled out fixings in fibreglass.........Need to call the glass man to come and re-fit all panels,new windscreen trim + noting paint imperfections for final snaglist .Just hours and hours of fiddles and fixes to come

Where did you get the boost hoses from? My order from about 5 years ago for a Samco set through Dell boy is still in "no progress" so might be interested in a set for mine.
