Alpine GTA Turbo v6, does it have a main battery fuse?

Postby smetsra » Mon Nov 28, 2016 5:15 pm

Hello All,

This afternoon i was able to start engine and all looking ok, including activating loads like lights, radio, interior ventilator.

Kept engine running idel for 10 min.

Next I turned off loads and engine and wait for 1 hour.

Next I cranked engine on and started.
Next I turned on loads and suddenly nothing anymore, as if a main fuse blew/blow.

Decoupled battery and measured tension as 12.2VDC.

Wonder if I blew somewhere a main fuse not present in the fuse box.

Any feedback welcome.

Regards
Raf

My car suddenly stopped like yours....turned out the +12V battery connector had come loose.. (I blamed Mr Dell from all the battery swapping back from Le Mans :) ) ...anyway I think you fault is similar..maybe the main battery connector is loose..or your 0V connection has worked loose... check that the battery 0V is connected to the remaining steel on the cross member..
