The Le Mans when they do eventually come up for sale in the UK have been in parallel with the A610 price wise. So you would say a nice one would be in the £25k mark?

This one has been off the road for 15 years plus. We don't know if it runs or the engine is seized...Also what state the chassis is in.

Don't forget how bad these cars can get, the Singh Le Mans was rejected by Paul Sage for restoration as it was too far gone. Every bolt and fixing was knackered. As far as I know it was re shelled and is still being restored.

On the other hand it may just need a recommission and a respray..... Where it has been stored is critical.

I reckon the car is worth £5-10k as it sits without inspection. But get 2 or 3 people hot to trot and who knows.

Stick it on eBay for a 10 day auction which will bring in the Europeans as well.

Good luck with the sale.

Sad to read all the comments about sticking it in a garage. I have no idea what mine is worth these days but I use it regularly in the summer (Le Mans this year etc). Hopefully this one will be not too much work to bring back to life (although the numbered plate seemed to be surrounded by mould and mildew which doesn't look good)

Hello,

Update on the car is that it is now on ebay for auction.

Good luck with the sale..hope the car finds an enthusiastic new owner to return it to former glory.
Glad it's up for auction to give as many folk a fair go.
Might even put in a bid !!
(Oddly...many of the parts that you quote as missing or damaged I have squirreled away as spares for my d500 d501..maybe it's an omen I need to add a d502).
I have a good set of grey velour seats...which I probably don't need to keep as spares...if the buyer finds these ones don't scrub up.

This will be interesting. Just looking at the pictures only for the bravest, that is a total rebuild every pipe, seal, motor, electrical, panels, and paint. But a nice car in the end.

You know you said the car was garaged? Was the roof of said garage missing?

That's a full resto right there, shame it's got into that state.

Anyway I'm sure it will find a new enthusiastic owner who can do it proud.

Good luck with the sale.

It is sad but if it was not a Lemans it would be in the MVS car park. I forgot mettle work, frunt box, sills, turrets, £8/10,000 in refurbish and replacement parts alone.

I reckon £20k to restore that.

£5k Paint
£5k Engine rebuild
£10k chassis, suspension, interior, replacement lights, trim, pipework etc etc etc

Clee am I wrong?

As they say in America "Lift the reserve, the reserve is off!"

Bit pessimistic perhaps Martin, but you're probably not too far off the mark if the Alpine gods aren't smiling. I thought the rear looks a lot worse than the front in the vid - front wishbones looked in much better order than the rear set and the subframe. Whatever happens it's a full restore engine out and build back up job, just from a safety perspective.

That engine bay also is really poor and suggests to me that it's not been on a solid hard-standing but been on something where the damp can rise up - if it was in a barn it had a mud floor. That obviously doesn't bode well for the front cross-member.

Weird though. I know really it's just a GTA in a fancy frock, but I feel sorry for it, and if money was no object I'd be tempted. Good thing is that if you wanted a modified Le Mans then it's an ideal starting point.

Be interesting to see who takes this on.
I'm just here for the gasoline.

Yes I recon 20+ if you look at the pictures the water has been running down the frunt right, the frunt wing has got an osmosis bubble plus if you zoom in on the interior and then in on the door hinge that looks bad so door posts as well, it is an Eden project the prise it is at now is brake even for a right hand drive. The engine may be trash if it had water in it for 15 years or partial water. If it was a left hand drive in that condition it would be worth 10/12,000. Think carefully if you are bidding or you could get your :Butt

It's the old adage "Where will you find another one"

It's in a state admittedly but its 1 of only 26 and I don't see any others coming up for sale anytime soon.

Chris Allen has probably spent £20k+ now restoring his and it looked better at the start.

Alternative is build your own like Custard or Simon and put your own stamp on it but if you want an original one there's not much choice out there.
