Just refurbishing mine
two have been refurb at some point by last owner so I have two Matt on one side and a sort of gloss come Matt on the other side

Just make sure you see a sample wheel at the refurbishers.

I just had mine done satin silver and they are quite matt identical to the originals but finish will vary depending where you get them done.

The wheel refurbished chap asked
If these wheels are magnesium or just standard alloy

I thought magnesium was a bit ultra-specialist, and very expensive.

It is as about 30% lighter than ali ....+ you would probably only get 3 for the price of a complete Spider :thinking

I didn't think they were "normal" alloys as they are so difficult to clean ;) - Maybe because they are matt finish and not lacquered

My usual AutoGlym wheel cleaner, which works well on my other cars is useless on the Spider wheels

On a recommendation, I started using Code Clean pH neutral alloy wheel cleaner

Brilliant stuff :up

Spray it on, leave it 5 minutes and then jet it off = job done

It was meant to be a satin/matt finish to match the roll hoop and dashboard etc
